City Legal Advice
CityCLAC is open for new clients, and bookings are available between January and March 2025.
CityCLAC are a University based legal advice service run by The City Law School at City St George’s, University of London. They partner with large law firms to provide free legal advice to clients, who are assisted by passionate volunteer law students.
Areas of expertise include:
Family law – Child contact, divorce.
Employment law – Unfair dismissal, unpaid wages, discrimination, bullying at work.
General Civil Litigation – Contractual disputes, consumer matters, and small claims.
Social Housing Disrepair – a complaints service for tenants in social housing facing disrepair issues (note we do not advise on tenants facing imminent eviction or homelessness, and we do not advise homeowners or landlords).
Immigration - Securing and maintaining permission to enter and remain in the UK; verifying immigration status; Guiding on applications for recourse to public funds (Please note, unfortunately, we cannot advise clients with handling applications for immigration appeals or helping those who have already overstayed their visa. We will try to provide signposting and referrals for those clients we cannot help)
Small business – Formation of a company, data protection, partnership disputes, etc.
Personal Injury – Accidents at work & in public places, road traffic accidents, and defective product claims (we only advise claimants/ plaintiffs and do not advise defendants).
Personal Independence Payment – Form filling service (we do not undertake appeal work).
City School Exclusion Service – Supporting families to challenge permanent school exclusions at London state schools.
