Drug and Alcohol Training - Supporting Muslim Residents in Islington

Navigating conversations on drug and alcohol use within the Muslim Community.

Feelings of shame can make it very difficult to open up about challenges with drugs or alcohol, or to approach mainstream services. Many people will talk to someone they trust if they're experiencing problems with drugs or alcohol. It could be about themselves, a family member or friend.

Voluntary, Community and Faith (VCF) Organisations are key anchors of support for people. This training aims to build knowledge and confidence within VCF organisations in Islington to support people with drug and alcohol needs.

This culturally specific training is open to practitioners, outreach workers, volunteers, faith and community leaders working with residents of muslim-faith in Islington.
